These terms govern your use of Legalnet. By creating an account or using the site you agree to them.
Legalnet is an online directory and communication platform that helps people find and contact advocates and law firms in India. Legalnet is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice and is not a party to any engagement between you and an advocate.
Profile information is provided by advocates and firms themselves. While we verify Bar Council enrolment for advocates who display a “Verified” badge, we do not guarantee the accuracy of other profile information, the quality of legal services or any outcome.
In keeping with the Bar Council of India Rules, nothing on Legalnet is intended as advertising or solicitation of work by any advocate. Articles published on the site are for general information only and are not a substitute for advice on your specific circumstances.
Using Legalnet as a client is free. Any professional fees are agreed and paid directly between you and the advocate or firm. Legalnet does not collect or share in legal fees.
You keep ownership of content you post (such as articles, comments and reviews) and grant Legalnet a licence to display it on the platform. We may remove content that breaches these terms.
To the extent permitted by law, Legalnet is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the platform or from services provided by advocates or firms you contact through it.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Mumbai shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
